How to Assess a Pupil's Reading Fluency
Fluency assessments are such a valuable part of a of this systematic approach. When you realize that a people's fluency isn't where you want it to be, they can be targeted with other forms of assessment. Once you've done a few Fluency Assessments, you begin to know where a phonics Assessment is likely to go in your class. It puts teachers in a situation where they have heard every pupil read at the start of the year.
