The inflammatory process is the driving force behind the kind of myofibular and cytoskeletal damage that we tend to see in the post-workout period. That gives us the answer we've been looking for, having left behind the idea that is being generated by the forces inside the muscle fibers during contractions. I really like that as determined as a bottleneck of any time we trace something back far enough, there's almost always just a couple of mechanisms that are involved in these processes.
