Is It the Traditional Japanese Diet or a Modern Twist on It?
Soybeans in one form or another, tofu and this dish that I've very much come to like called natto feature a lot more in day-to-day eating. The main change has probably been that there's certainly a good deal less meat in the diet. And we keep using the word the traditional Japanese diet. But I'd imagine, perhaps in big cities, there's a lot more processed food like there is in other countries.
