Theory of wisdom is becoming more complex, it's bringing in different aspects of the different kinds of knowing. Robert Sternberg basically really gets this off the ground with his pivotal work and tireless work he's done putting together anthologies on wisdom or related anthologies on foolishness. There is an untapped potential given this theoretical machinery of connecting wisdom to meaning in life that complements the connections between wisdom and virtue.
