The 2021 focused update guidelines on management of cluster doides, difficile infection and adults from the IDSA. The preferred regimen for initial episodes of CDI is fadaximycin 200mg twice a day for 10 days as opposed to this being one of other options with vancomycin. And in cases where patients have non-severe CDI and do not have access to either fadriximycin or vancomysin, in those cases, fadaxemycin is the alternative to those two agents.
