Unity of Method and Authorities in Analytic Philosophy

The lack of unity in analytic philosophy is explored, with the argument that philosophies are defined by authorities rather than doctrine or method. The inclusion of additional authorities in analytic ethics is proposed, and the concept of graded individuation in philosophy is discussed.
