i think giving ourselves permission to show those things that are morally true, they give it's the number one ingredient in being helpful. i often hear people say that gaus was rigorous at a level beyond that of his predecessors. But rigor is the be all and end all. And this more intuitive side, the morally speaking side, often visual side, these things are taken to be somehow soft, or like we're embarrassed by them. To me, it's really just stupid,. because anyone who is a mathematician knows that you have to operate with both parts of your brain.
