I was kind of in a similar situation when I first started weightlifting. In three years into my training, I put on 15 pounds of lean mass. This is something for people to think with if there's a muscle group that they know they've neglected and they're going to be cutting. It might not be unreasonable to almost treat that as a specialization opportunity to maintain the muscle groups you've trained adequately.
