President Hammond fires his entire cabinet and forces Congress to adjourn. He declares, And if what I plan to do with the name of the people makes me a dictator, then it is a dictatorship based on Jefferson's definition of democracy. The point is, suddenly the fictional president Hammond is a man of principle. But a dictator who does some good things is still a dictator.
