How to Set Goals and Expectations for a Junior Engineer

You can coach on the how particularly when folks are more junior but goals and expectations have to be set around the what so you can say hey your job is to close and tickets a day or a month or whatever and to do it this fast. I think that framework applies regardless of the seniority of the individual you're managing or if somebody's more junior you should be more involved with the how and if they're more senior you should be less involvement with the how.
