There's fight, flight, freeze and fawn. You may notice that one of those responses is your body is immediate go to your nervous system always goes into flight. And we can be conscious in the moment to remind ourselves that we are actually physically safe. We do have the ability to respond newly. Though I would expect ourselves to still fall back into or repeat those old patterns.
