Aseptic Loosening in the Knee

If there is some evidence of loosening, you would probably do potentially some sort of aspiration to see if there's an infectious etiology or not. So the aseptic loosening or septic loosening, we can sort out during the time of surgery. And then once we're convinced that the knee infection's gone, then we have a second operation to take that chunk of plastic out and put it in the room. This is where you feel bad for the patient when they're gone through this. This is really a nightmare.
