"Whatever happens in the conversation, if i'm hearing it correctly, whatever happens in that conversation gets rolled into that conversation and changes the nature of the conversation," he says. But when we get triggered by something like an anger or fear trigger, our lizard runs away with us - 'i know what i should do' He adds: We need to find a way to talk to each other where we don't get triggered.
