Oil companies decided to try drilling in deeper water. To the oil guys, it was like going from earth to mars. They had to pump 200 thousand barrels a day sing technology that hadn't even been invented yet. The biggest ursa was two football fields worth of metal in the middle of the gulf of mexico.
