The Role of the Fecal Microbiome in the Development of Obesity
We now understand that the fecal microbiome also has a really important role to play, possibly more important than the vaginal microbiome. Most babies are born facing backwards and get a face full of poop on their way out as everything is being squeezed at that point. It's possible to have a very different way from happening, but it's possibly better if the baby does get a facefull of poop. And that will set them up. That could come along with a whole host of different levels of risk in terms of developing allergies or autoimmune disease of obesity.
