Are You Using Data to Predict a Urine Infection?

Sarah is using data to predict if people are becoming unwell at home, intervene early and keep them well there as opposed to going to hospital. The biggest reason for this was actually my experience of working in ANE and as a junior doctor. And something like a urine infection, it's got pretty predictable outcomes. So by just equipping a carer better and making sure that they're able to spot these patterns and then do something about itlike get antibiotics from a pharmacist, that is the difference between spending five pounds on antibiotics,. keeping that person healthy at home versus that person becoming unconscious, needing an ambulance, going to ANE, and probably having a one in five chance of dying
