The trick is to become aware, not to be afraid of doing the wrong thing. The more clearly you can see the wrongness then you can stop it. Your best bet as a listener is to give up any idea that there really is a right way to sit or a wrong way to sit. And your suggestion of taking a habitual way of sitting, say, say the slump, and exaggerating it for a brief period of time,. is an excellent one.
