Is There a Relative Load?

As you get stronger, the absolute load is increasing in that same exercise. That almost certainly comes at a greater fatigue cost per set as well. There may be absolute benefits to just lifting those heavy absolute loads. If you're more nearhly efficient, you may be able to get more out of a lower relative load. You can't have somebody that squats 800 pounds working up to that three times a week. In most cases. People who are much stronger, your going to have to be thinking about that when it comes to the absolute amount of volume you're prescribing.
