One woman a month in New Zealand is murdered at the hands of their intimate partner 12 woman a year and that's an average of 15. You're 80 times more likely to be murdered in the few weeks after leaving an abuser than at any other point. So yeah we do see that it's it's far and away the most dangerous time for women who leave abusive relationships.
