The Decline of UI-Continuing Claims
1.8 million continuing claims, which rose 6,000 in the weekend; up almost 400,000 from a year ago. But there's a lot of shifting- if you look underneath that increase,you're seeing a lot of shifts as to who is receiving unemployment benefits. The lowest income folks are really declining. And this makes sense because you've had very high paying industries such as financial services and tech accounting for at some point, you know, up to 70% of job cup announcements late last year.
