The Long March to Below Replacement Fertility
The long march to below replacement fertility began, didn't start in Britain started in France. Starting France around the 1750s but right before the revolution, and not to put a point on it was poorer than what was to be the UK. More rural, less educated and kind of Catholic, you know so it kind of, it knocked all of the modernization kind of De Zeterata off to the side.
