How to Be an Emerging Manager
I think it would probably be easier for emerging managers to navigate this a bit if there weren't so many of them. I feel like that curating your reach outs and doing it thoughtfully finding using LinkedIn as a warrior is more effective. Make sure you're really clear on why your fund has to exist and why you're the right person to lead it. And then be really intentional about who's going to get it. But absolutely, but I tend to look at the network of investors I already respect and say who's also doing distress debt or real estate or whatever the area is? That's how when I get interested in an area, like I will do cold reach outs.
