Is There a Cost to Overtraining?

If you want big performance, you need big recovery. It's like making time to allow your body to digest and bounce back. If you're always working, then you're never really building. I was chatting with a white belt yesterday, who's fucking six months in the game. He said, I'm doing eight sessions a week. And I would argue, I reckon you could do five. You'd still be just as good if getting good at the same rate, if not faster. This is a hard psychology to break.
