Sophocles's antigone is here a representative of the apollynian while acilus cassandra is associated with the dionysian. The meaning, as coffman alleges, as that both of those characters are tragic figures. They are famous, you know, artipial examples of a tragic characters. But they both represent, they lean towards both either the appollonian or the dionycian.
