The Benefits of Lower Rep Range Strength Training
The only benefit I would see potentially of that is maybe some connective tissue adaptations. But at the same time, you're also getting that exposure by just reducing the rep range on the main lift anyway. The closest thing I've ever done to thinking about like a non hypertrophy structural adaptations from working in lower rep ranges was what I was doing with strongman training. For me, it's the concentric phase of heavy arm work that typically hurts my elbows, not the eccentric.
