I don't like my tea bag to stay in the cup for too long once the water's in because I don't like it strong at all. If the tea bag stays in for a very long time, we call the tea stewed. So if the tea is stewed, then for me it's quite bitter. But when you're having afternoon tea, they tend not to use tea bags. If you're all somewhere really posh, they'll have loose leaf tea.
