How to Get Your Hands Dirty in an Industry?

i was fortunate to learn on the job at that first company, very deep in the weeds. So is that something you would recommend founders do? I sort of figure out how to get their hands dirty as much as possible in an industry they're looking to build something in. i think it's easier to solve when it's your problem than somebody else's. This gives you a deeper appreciation for what's what the real challenges are.
