How Does the Past Affect Your Self Regulating Networks?

When you are first born, you do not have the structures in place to self regulate. You are biologically dependent on a caregiver of some sort to help you regulate your own system and get your needs met. This means that we outsource these abilities, the self regulating abilities, to our caregivers. And this is where the past comes in. So i want to look at this in terms of personal history for you, and then after that I want to look into more of our social history to see how that affects multiple levels and layers and interconnecting networks.
