How Fat Is Utilized in a Workout?
When we do the testing with our armetaba cart, we're measuring arbon dioxide production as well as oxygen consumption. The ratio between those two that is giving us the window into where the fuel is coming from. So right in the middle there, at a ratio of point eight, five, you're getting 50 % from fat and 50 % from carbohydrate. And what you'll typically see is that a easy workout, people are more reliant on fat for fuel.
