The Importance of Authentic Self Expression
I don't believe there is any such thing as simple authenticity. If I express myself in a way that feels true to me, but is not received by others in the way that I intended it, then I've failed to express myself authentically. We can't possibly succeed in being authentic without taking into account how others, interpreters, how others understand us. So authenticity becomes a shared. It's a relation, and that puts constraints on possible authentic self expression. There's part of me that is very skeptical about broadcasting at all.
