Lisa Mammana is an Australian born mother of three. Her husband is in the Australian Air Force which means long periods of time with the kids on her own, add to that being a full time chef and having to shift towns and even countries regularly for her husbands work and you can imagine how tough it is to fit in your own fitness training and how hard it is to focus on your own sporting ambitions but somehow Lisa found the time to start. It wasn't all smooth sailing but slowly Lisa increased the distances she was able to do firstly just to the letterbox and back and after six months of steady work to do her first 10k but that was just beginning of her story.

She went on to achieve half marathons, marathons, ultramarathons and even a multi day stage race across the Australian Simpson Desert in 45 degree heat.
