What the Teachers Need to Know About Working Memory
Working memory is what we give our attention to. Your prior knowledge dictates what you kind of naturally pick up on and focus on in a situation. Teachers must be explicit about what they want the pupils to actually see and take from what they 're saying. i think, just to sum up, if we understand that attention is also governed by what we already know, then we realize how important it is to draw people's attention to particular parts of the explanation.
