The Importance of Isometrics in Powerlifting

I don't believe so because powerlifting is a short movement game. I like using isometrics to teach people how to stay stable when they strain under a load. As a coach, it's much easier to give technical cues when the person is doing an isometric on bench. For example, your elbows are not under the bar. We know what he is pressing for like eight seconds at the same time. You can actually adjust the elbows. It doesn't have the chest high enough. You can adjust it. So by doing method that will strengthen the tendons will allow the tendon to play that improve maybe that little bit more closely as your string goes up.
