Paranoia Goes Beyond Vigilance
I think paranoia goes beyond vigilance. It's sort of like when you project your shadow on to the larger world, and it's all out there,. So maybe gullibility has something to do with shadow and how we relate to shadow. We carry a kind of authority into the world and an ability to recognize other people's shadow. If i refuse to see my own capacity to be cunning, for instance, and i actively and consistently work to suppress or oppress that knowledge in myself, that i am going to be in a state of denial and that makes me much more vulnerable. Once we're upset about something, it's very easy to want to run after a solution to relieve our distress
