The EMDR normally is, in my opinion, a bit more tolerable because at the same time as you're going, I guess, thinking about certain aspects of that experience. It makes it harder for your working memory to hold onto it. And then it helps out like memory consolidation and putting it away. Those symptoms don't come up when you're triggered.
