I lost a cat in 2019 who is very dear to me and she does visit me. She's an amazing, amazing soul. There was this one experience that was just so vivid and real and unlike other dreams where we were reunited. And I felt so happy, elated and just grateful for it. But there was another important piece to that that needed to happen, had nothing to do with the reunion but more of a warning of some interference. That was incredible and these sorts of things are waiting for us and oftentimes all we have to do is ask, please come to me in a dream and wake me up so that I remember it. It's that simple.
Death is an ever-present part of life, and it comes for us all. In some way, we will experience grief and loss -- it may come from the loss of a parent, child, sibling, friend, etc. Today, I am joined by Addison Brasil. Addison is the author of First Year of Grief Club: A Gift From A Friend Who Gets It, and the former producer and co-founder of the world's first peer men's mental health app, tethr.
In this episode, Addison shares his journey to process through grief after he lost his brother to cancer, found his father after he committed suicide, and survived a fatal accident that killed a dear friend and left Addison relearning how to walk. He also talks about how to honor grief, how to feel connected and supported during loss, and much more. Tune in!
