The Way of Truth and the Way of Opinion

Parmenides is known as the father of metaphysics. He divides his poem into two parts: one for truth and another for opinion. In this way he makes a major contribution to epistemology, says Andrew Keen. The second part dealt with cosmology and other issues in natural science. It was not preserved as completely as the first part but it was clearly quite extensive.
