Everybody has parts and it's the nature of the mind to be subdivided that way. And trauma or what's called attachment injuries, bad parenting forces them out of their naturally valuable states into roles that would maybe necessary when you were very young in order to protect you. It took a while for me to get hip to that but once I did, I began to try and get clients to actually listen to their parts and learn about what they're doing in there, why. So those we call exiles are frozen in time often during the trauma. They carry the emotions and beliefs that came into your system from the trauma,. These burdens drive the way they operate.
