The Importance of Boundaries
I have loved ones in my life multiple who are in 12 step programs and who have done things that they completely regret when they were not sober. They've tried to make amends whenever possible. But those things don't define you. Like if we were all defined by the worst thing we'd ever done, we would just like, all die. And I think that's so relevant to me to people coming out of cults because so much of the time people who are victims end up doing things that the leader says aren't ill or like they're true selves. How do you contend with that after?
