How to Have a Healthy Challenge Response to Stress

How do we physiologically get to the point of resilience where we are releasing just enough cortisol to get a benefit is that by just flexing the muscle facing stress again and again yeah. There are interesting studies showing that if you're having a fight or flight response and you're able to think about stress differently in that moment it can actually help you transition to having a challenge response. One of my favorite is something called heart breathing this is something that um is connected to some of the contemplative traditions that I've studied but also good for your emotions like hope and courage.
