The shorter and more intense the effort, the more maximal power that you're trying to get within that effort. The longer the rest that you should allow to repeat that effort. It's just that simple. Ah, you've got a really short and aggressive set of muscle fibres. And that extends out to a group of fibres that are going to be used to repetative, not that intense, mot is sustainable at all.
