Human discomfort isn't caused by what happens. It's caused by our attitude towards what happens. So a person who's experience in this type of negative automatic thoughts would use cognitive behavior teripy to challenge that situation. They'd write down on a sheet of paper, i fell over in the fokin library, and i felt humiliated and I felt like every single person was judging me. Then you'd write down an alternative set of beliefs.
