The Importance of Food as Information

Fitness capabilities are made up of the various molecular things that form food, not just protein and carbohydrate fat. Phytochemicals were thought to be useless because they don't prevent a death like vitamin C with scurvy. But now we're starting to find out that actually these things in plants that are eaten by animals then concentrated in animals that eat those plants are actually fitness-improving substances.
