The Canting Jargon of the Vagabonds and the Thieves
Harmon included a sample dialogue between two criminals using that jargon. He also included a direct translation into the common english of his day. I thought it might be interesting to read part of that to you. The conversation takes place between a rogue and an upright man. In reading this, i am going to give you harmon's translation first, then i'm Going to give you the same passage in the canting jargon of the thieves.
