The Effects of Lactate on the Brain

When you exercise and your blood lactate rises it substitutes for glucose in the brain right so that's that's perfectly predictable according to a lactate shuttle high i'd theory but again with the injured brain where there's a limited glucose not availability because doctors are very good at supplying glucose. There's no lack of glucose for the brain it just doesn't get in it's just not working so okay so find another way  and monocarboxylates are another way which is what we're experimenting with now.
