The Status Question Is Important
The best loyalty programs in the world are run by very small businesses. They understand that they have both longitude and snapshot data on who their customers are. It doesn't only matter what people think of brands, it also matters what people think brands think of them. The status question is important but there's a secondary question as well: how does it actually think of you? Do it value you? Does it want you to come back? Or is it just, well, if you want to come here and spend some money, feel free?
