Bob Greene: I think that expository preaching definitely does not preclude storytelling. In fact, Jesus never tells, never teaches without telling a story in every case. And one of the things that I have been learning and wanting to share with others is this idea that we should use a plotline format in our sermons. So I tell a story, I create tension, I make observations, I bring a revelation, and then I say, what are you going to do about it? He says he's using all the skills of all the various books on preaching in one story art.
