Running a 10K Race? How Did You Do It?

I decided to register for a 10k race which I ran before as well and I thought I'll just do this low heart rate training and see whether it really works then for the speed. So I did this race which was then already I think my personal best on 10k was 3845 something like that here I ran without any speed work 37 low, while finishing as well like fitter than ever. Yeah level of fitness was much higher back then and as well the next day I could go for a run already which before was also was definitely not possible. With just adding some speed work then it just kicked off.
