The bureau of labor statistics released the annual american time use survey. People spent 26 fewer minutes travelling around each day in 20 20 than they did in 20 19. The proportion of people doing some work at home on the day they were surveyed almost doubled. Parents spent more time doing what we call secondary child care, that is, watching kids while doing something else, like working.
