Are You Predicting the Ends Coming Sooner?

Prophecy of Ezekiel against Tyre was taken so seriously that they were accepted as authoritative texts. Jesus, I think, did think that the end was coming within his generation but like the destruction of Tyre, it didn't happen. People have to then explain, well, why didn't it happen? And you get a lot of that in early Christianity already because 40, 50, 60 years later, it hadn't happened.
